W. Scott Swenson serves as President of Jones Swenson Auction Marketing, Inc. and has been a professional auctioneer since 1983. Mr. Swenson is active in the auctioneering industry at both a state and national level. A nationally acclaimed auctioneer, Mr. Swenson was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the 7,000 member National Auctioneers Association. He is also a past officer and director of the Texas Auctioneers Association. In addition, Mr. Swenson is a four time top finalist in the International Auctioneer Championship and won the Texas State Champion Auctioneer in 1992. Since 1992 he has also served as an instructor at the Texas Auction Academy and is the instructor of Real Estate Auction courses for Continuing Education for the Texas Auctioneers Association. As Vice-President of Sales, Carl V. Naylor is responsible for auction procurement and client development. Carl V. Naylor has joined the United Country – Jones Swenson Auction Marketing team as of September 1. In 1985, Carl was named Distribution Manager for The Morrison Milling Company where he served until 1997 when he decided to pursue his interest in the Auction Industry. During this term, he was responsible for the day to day operations of the truck fleet, maintenance facility, warehouse and safety program and supervised shipments of finished product through out the United States. He was trained in Hazardous Material Handling and Disposal, D.O.T. compliance, and customer relations and served as the assistant treasurer of the corporation. Mr. Vaught is one of the firm's lead auctioneers and has experience with a variety of sales, including business liquidations, asset recovery, estates & antiques, and charity/benefits. He is a graduate of the Texas Auction Academy in Dallas and received his Texas State Auctioneer License in 1998. George Vaught has served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA). Within the TAA, Mr. Vaught is an active member of committees pertaining to Professional Auctioneer Education, Public Education, and Regulation. He serves as the TAA's Committee Chair for Auctioneer Continuing Education. He has also written auction articles for both TAA and National Auctioneer Association (NAA) publications and has authored proposed State legislation governing auctions in Texas. Mr. Vaught was awarded the 2005 Leadership Award by the Texas Auctioneers Association and was second Runner-up for the 2005 State Ringman Championship. He holds the "2003 State Senior Champion Auctioneer" and "1998 State Rookie Champion Auctioneer" bid caller titles. He is also one of three licensed auctioneers appointed to the Auctioneer Education Advisory Board by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
